A development of 268 new 1-bed to 5-bed houses for Barratt Homes, on an 8.2ha site near the Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Units are arranged around high quality public realm, which forms a strong focus. The development is broken down into five site-specific character areas that result from distinct constraints and opportunities for each particular region of the site.
The project takes its name from the road that defines its southern edge; this highway is a link between Liverpool and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. As such, the site has an elevated profile within the city, so it was important that a high quality proposal was put forward that could satisfy both design ambitions and client constraints.
